Ahmad Masa’deh
Khalaf Masa'deh & Partners; Former Jordan Minister of Public Sector Reform; Former Ambassador of Jordan to the EU, Belgium, Norway, Luxembourg, and NATO; Former Secretary General of Union for the Mediterranean

Ahmad Masa'deh is the first elected Secretary General of the Union for the Mediterranean, Jordan's Ambassador to the EU, NATO, Belgium, Luxembourg and Norway during the period 2006-2010, and Minister for Public Sector Reform (2004-2005). Today he is the Managing Partner of Khalaf Masa'deh LLC, where he practices contract, insurance, and commercial law and acts in litigation and arbitration (both local & international).

He was Assistant Professor of International Business Law at the Faculty of Law of the University of Jordan, and held office on the management boards, advisory boards or councils of various companies and institutions including the Council of the World Trade Law Association in London, Royal Jordanian Airlines, Panel of Arbitrators of the World Bank's International Center for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICISD), NATO Defense College Foundation in Rome.

Ahmad Masa'deh is decorated with Jordan's Order of Independence of the First Class and Belgium's Order of the Crown of the Grand Cross Class (Grand-Croix de L'Ordre de la Couronne). Dr. Masa'deh holds a Bachelor of Law (LLB with honors) from the University of Jordan; a Master of Laws (LLM) from the University of Virginia, Charlottesville, USA; and a PhD from King's College London, United Kingdom. Politically, he is a liberal progressive thinker leaning more to the center left.
