Antonio Missiroli is Adjunct Professor at SAIS Europe


Professor Missiroli holds the position of Non-Resident Associate Fellow, NATO Defence College, Rome, and Senior Policy Fellow, ISGA, University of Leiden. Formerly he was NATO Assistant Secretary-General for Emergent Security Challenges (2017-20), Director of the EU Institute for Security Studies (2012-17), and Policy Adviser at BEPA, European Commission (2010-12). He also served as Director of Studies at the European Policy Centre (2005-10), Research Fellow at the W/EUISS (1997-2005) and Head of European studies at CeSPI, and worked as a professional journalist. Professor Missiroli holds a PhD in Contemporary History from the Scuola Normale Superiore and a MIPP from SAIS.
