Matteo Alvisi is Professor of Economics at the Department of Sociology and Business Law, University of Bologna and Adjunct Professor, SAIS Europe. He holds a PhD in Economics from the University of California, Los Angeles as well as a PhD in Economics from Bocconi University. His research interests are in the fields of Microeconomics, Industrial Organization and Law and Economics. He currently focuses his research on Regulatory and Antitrust issues regarding price and quality competition in vertically differentiated markets in which complementary goods are exchanged, with particular reference to the pharmaceutical and digital goods markets, and to two-sided markets organized through digital platforms. Matteo Alvisi is author of numerous papers published in professional journals.
