Pedro Moraya Barros is Associate Fellow at SAIS Europe

Pedro Moraya Barros is an Associate Fellow at Johns Hopkins University – SAIS Europe and a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Antwerp with visiting doctoral program at the University of Oxford. His research has been published in academic as well as non-academic outlets, like the Accounting & Finance Journal and Amazon.com. Previously, he was the director and co-principal investigator of the Global Leadership Project (sponsored by the World Bank), and worked in "The Wealth Effect" multinational bank project headquartered in London and Melbourne. His primary fields of interest are personal individual taxation, foreign portfolio investment, and political institutions. Pedro holds two master's degrees. One M.Sc. in International Political Economy from the London School of Economics and one M.A. in Government from the University of Texas at Austin. He holds a B.A. in Economics - Quantitative Emphasis with Minor in History from the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities with an exchange program at Harvard University. Pedro has experience working and/or studying in London, Paris, Geneva, Rio de Janeiro, and elsewhere in Europe and North America. He speaks fluent English, Portuguese, Spanish, Italian, and has advanced level in French.
