Europe is often criticized for its overregulation of innovative companies and for the lack of capital available to them. However, several success stories show that innovation can be done in Europe, writes SAIS associate fellow Alessandro Merli in an article for the June issue IMF's magazine, Finance & Development, almost entirely devoted to what Europe needs to do to grow more.
