Paolo Calzini is author of an article published by International Affairs that examines the role of nationalism in defining the political course in Russia, particularly with respect to the Navalny phenomenon. According to Calzini, despite being a minority phenomenon, the Navalny movement stands out in its combination of Russian patriotism with the values of European democracy.
